S2 RESOURCES LTD (ASX: S2R)

S2 has been granted three large exploration licenses for a 2,712 square kilometer area in Koonenberry, northwestern NSW, covering Ni-Cu-PGE prospective stratigraphy.
The Koonenberry Belt, similar to the Pechenga (Russia) and Fraser Range (Western Australia) nickel districts, is largely unexplored and has known Ni-Cu sulphide occurrences.
Regional geophysics has been completed over a significant area, with the project located near the Silver City Highway and covering 140 kilometers of the prospective stratigraphy's strike.

Kinross exercises its Right Of First Refusal to buy two of S2's Exploration Licence Applications in Finland.
S2 to receive consideration of USD175,000, with USD150,000 payable on closing and remaining USD25,000 upon the grant of licenses.
The transaction is part of a broader strategic rationalization of S2's Finnish assets, including joint ventures and corporate transactions.

The placement was very strongly supported by both existing and new institutional and sophisticated investors.

Terms have been agreed with the Dja Dja Wurrung traditional owners (DJAARA) for exploration activities over 93% of the ELA area.
Inherited induced polarisation (IP) geophysical data has been reprocessed to highlight potential gold mineralisation at Fosterville.
